Ready to Hit the Market

We admired the BMW X2 Concept when it arrived at the Paris Motor Show in 2016 and the hope we had was that BMW would offer us a production model that would look much like the concept model when it arrives next spring. Thankfully, this new model that’s being called a ͞Sports Activity Coupe͟ will be exactly what we want and will be offered with three different variations to make it easier for us to have a fantastic time on the roads we drive. This will be a vehicle that does an excellent job of competing with the sub-compact luxury SUVs on the market.

A few of the design differences you’ll see with the new X2 that will show up on the market will include the kidney grills appearing to be upside down because they will widen from the top to the bottom. The placement of the logos on the C-pillars is also different but also harkens back to models such as the 2000 CS and the 3.0 CSL that have been legendary models on the market in the past. Let’s take a look at what this new model will be when it launches.

We’ll Love the new X2

When this new small SUV model arrives on the market in March of next year, we’ll have three versions to enjoy; Basic, M Sport, and M Sport X. The Basic model will be offered with 17-inch wheels, black wraparound cladding, the M Sport will have a sportier appearance, larger 19-inch wheels, added design elements that are finished in Dark Shadow, and side skirts and wheel arch trim that are finished in the body color. The top level, M Sport X will have design elements finished in Frozen Grey to give this version of the vehicle a unique and attractive appearance. On the inside of the new X2, we start with the Basic version that has grid cloth Anthracite that’s trimmed in Oxide Silver Dark with a high-gloss black accent strip. There are four leather variations that are options that can be chosen for the seating. The M Sport trim adds aluminum hexagon trim with a blue accent strip, standard contour lighting in the doors, and optional perforated Dakota leather in black with M piping and blue contrast stitching. The M Sport X shows up with Aluminum Hexagon Anthracite trim with a Pearl effect Chrome accent strip and seating that uses a new cloth Micro Hexagon/Alcantara in Anthracite with M piping and yellow contrast stitching. Regardless of the model chosen, you can see how elegant and impressive each level of this new X2 will be from BMW. You can expect a variety of engine choices with three of them for you to select from along with a host of excellent technology to have inside this new SUV that can be the right choice for you.
