Dating Back in the ZR1
The original 1990 Corvette ZR1 was defined by the 32-valve V8 engine that was built in conjunction with Lotus and Mercury Marine. Next,we saw the first factory supercharged V8 under the hood with a muscular body and a carbon fiber hood and roof to lower the weight. Finally, at the third take of this car, the car brings us the power we want to show off the incredible performance that can be the perfect track car to rip off the fast lap we want to see.
Differentiating Itself
The new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is powered by the LT5 engine which is certainly much better than the previous LT4 that was developed for the Z06. With the LT5, the crankshaft is stronger, there is a 2.7-liter supercharger which is 52 percent larger than the one in the LT4 engine, and there’s a more efficient electronic bypass valve to give you the higher volume of flow needed to keep the engine cool. These items all help make more power for the ride in the ZR1 that will have several other supercars shaking on their wheels.
If you choose the ZTK Track Performance Package for the new ZR1, you can have a high-mount wing in the back that’s adjustable and an engine-mounted air extractor that pops up through the hood. This is a sports car that also has an eight-speed automatic transmission that you can choose for the drive to make sure you have the shift points that will make the most of the power for this incredible car. The brakes are massive, which they need to be in order to make sure this car can stop safely or be handled on the track the way you want.

Even if you never drive this new Corvette, you’re going to be blown away by what it has to offer. This is a car that uses 6.2-liter supercharged pushrod V8 engine under the hood to pump out 755 horsepower and 715 lb.-ft. of torque. This car has more of the power that you want and is ready to ride around any track. It can sprint to sixty mph in only three seconds and the top speed you’ll want to push it to maxes out at an estimated 208 mph.
