The Hyundai team decided to rename the Santa Fe by dropping the Sport part of the name. This move simply allows the Santa Fe Sport to become a midsize crossover that’s named in a similar manner to some of the other models on the market. The Santa Fe will continue on as a two-row five-passenger model while the new three-row version will be called the Santa Fe XL. If you’re used the naming structure used by some of the other brands, this will make perfect sense to you when you shop for this impressive SUV.

Roomier for Your Comfort

The new platform used for the Santa Fe is larger than the previous model to make sure you can have more room in the cabin to give you the quality you’re looking for and the practicality you need. This new model is also built with a longer hood, a more upright windshield, and a trimmer front overhand. The front shows off with a prominent grill and daytime running lights that look great. The regular Santa Fe has 2.6 inches more in the wheelbase and an added overall length of 2.8 inches to give you the size you want.

The Power You Need

The upgraded engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s good for 235 ponies and 260 lb.-ft. of torque for the drive. Both engines are attached to an excellent eight-speed automatic transmission that makes it easy to have the fuel mileage needed.

The Santa Fe Can Keep You Safe

When you choose either the Santa Fe or the Santa Fe XL, you’re going to have the benefit of several active safety features for the drive.
