This Dodge Challenger Will Keep Your Eyes Red

Whether you appreciate the loud roar of a Dodge Challenger late at night or you’d rather not have a noisy car roar down your street to wake you up, it’s hard to argue with the performance, power, and quality offered in the Dodge Challenger lineup. For the 2019 model year, Dodge has made some incredible improvements to make sure the Challenger models we see will offer the imaginative power and performance that was left behind when the Demon vacated the market recently. With incredible numbers, you’re going to have the roar you’re looking for.

The New Challenger Redeye Model Arrives

The Dodge team unveiled the newest addition to the Dodge Challenger lineup in Chelsea, MI at their proving ground as the powerful and amazing performance machine that we’ll love for the drive. This new Redeye model will deliver us 797 horsepower and 707 lb.-ft. of torque to be a model that can come close to replacing the Demon in the market and offer the blazing speed and incredible drive that we love to discuss and admire in the Challenger models that make their way to the marketplace. This unveiling certainly brought a crowd which left the field satisfied with what they saw.

With the staggering power numbers offered, you can bet the new Redeye is a car that can race to speeds in a heartbeat. The time to reach sixty mph is only 3.4 seconds. When you push this amazing car to the top speed offered, you can reach 203 mph and know this is the one that will bring you to the glorious finish with all others seeing your taillights. If drag racing is what you desire to enjoy, the Redeye will reach the finish in 10.8 seconds while reaching 131 mph during the run.

Equipment That Makes This Challenger Possible

The new Challenger Redeye makes use of a TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission to bring the power to the rear wheels. There are two axle ratios that can be chosen in order to give the power desired and the launch needed. The engine features tow dual-stage fuel pumps, a 2.7-liter supercharger, 14.5 psi of peak boost pressure, and a 6,500 rpm redline to make sure you have what you want when you drive. There are three different sources to offer the airflow needed to get the air into the engine bay to cool the engine while on the road or track.

In order to make this a drag racing monster, the Torque Reserve is offered to increase the launch torque by 55 percent. The Power Chiller and After-Run Chiller make sure the heat stays under control during a run that’s nothing but a quick sprint across a quarter-mile line. This car is ready to go and will be offered at your nearby Dodge dealer later this fall to make sure you can roar around your neighborhood in a car that will show off and leave the rest behind with ease.
