The fact that you’ve waited nearly two years to have this car already, which isn’t a completely broken promise from the company yet, you might go ahead and buy one of these models. This means you’ll have a Tesla Model 3 that costs you $49,000 because it will have310 miles of range and all the premium upgrades offered.
How Can You Get the Basic Model 3?
The basic model of the Tesla Model 3 is one that has a dual-motor AWD system that offers only 220 miles of range that will cost around $35,000 before any options. If this is the car that you want and your number is selected, you’ll have to stay on the list for a longer period of time. This may give you the thought that Tesla has duped you by having the more expensive models ready before the cheaper ones, but nearly every automaker would do this in order to have customers buy the higher models.
If you do want the First Production version of the Model 3, you have to start going through the options that can be added to this car. The first option is the color you want for the car with black being the basic color and all others adding $1,000 to the price. You’ll also be able to choose wheel options, premium upgrades, Autopilot, and much more. If you choose all the upgrades and are ready to experience this Model 3, the car will now cost $58,000 and you will have to place a $2,500 non-refundable deposit on the car in order to make the order.
When you choose to finance the Model 3 that now costs nearly double what you originally thought it would you may need to put up to $5,000 down and pay more than $800 per month for six years. If you hold out and want to stay in line for the basic model, you have to click on a gray box and ask Tesla to hold your place in line and choose the ideal time to take delivery which is scheduled for between now and next March. This is an odd way to buy a car, but it’s how Tesla is offering the Model 3 to those on their reservation list.
