GM makes four brands that we all know and love: Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac. If you love them, too, you’ll also love the peace of mind they can bring.
When you consider the variety of models offered by these four brands, you probably have purchased or considered the purchase of one of the models in the past. As one of the longest-tenured automakers, GM wants to make sure you’re going to enjoy your vehicle and have the peace of mind you’re looking for longer than you currently do. They are doing this by offering an extended warranty on all models from these brands.
Doesn’t GM Already Offer Extended Warranties?
When you ask this question, the answer is “yes” but the extended warranty is one that’s similar to what you find when you shop with any automaker. New vehicles can have an extended warranty, but that warranty has a cost to it which includes paying the deductible in a similar fashion to insurance. Additionally, your extended warranty might not be honored at every dealership, making it a challenge to have your vehicle repaired when you’re out on the road and away from home where you might need to have your GM vehicle repaired and ready to continue the drive.
The New Extended Warranty is Different
Right now, the bumper-to-bumper warranty that you find from GM covers your vehicle for a specified period of time. With this warranty, you don’t have to pay a deductible or go to different service centers to have repairs done. Any GM dealership will service and repair your vehicle when it’s still under the warranty timeframe. What GM wants to do is extend this coverage to make sure you can enjoy your new GM vehicle for a longer period of time and still have the coverage that gives you the peace of mind you desire.
Specifics About this new Warranty Program
If you choose a model that wears the bowtie of Chevrolet or the block letters of GMC, you’re going to be able to enjoy an extension on the three-year/36,000-mile warranty to give you five years or 60,000 miles of coverage. The Buick and Cadillac brand already offer you four-year/50,000-mile warranty programs which will now be bumped up to six years or 70,000 miles of coverage for the vehicle you drive. These extended warranty programs will cost an additional fee on the vehicle you choose and are fully transferable to a new owner.
Get Ready to Drive
Now that you can have an increased level of peace of mind from GM, which one of the vehicles will you choose from the brands offered? Choose the extended warranty that’s offered and know that you’re going to have the ability to take your vehicle to any dealership under the GM brands to have the repairs done you need to. Driving a model from Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac can be more of a joy for you than it was in the past.
