In its standard form, it gives you 370 horsepower and 850lb.-ft. of torque, which is an impressive power level, but the higher-output version is what you want for the biggest jobs. In the more powerful form, this engine makes 400 horsepower and 1,000lb.-ft. of torque to give you the ability to tow up to 35,100 pounds.

The team upgraded the transmission, transfer case, driveshaft, axle, frame, radiator, induction system, and exhaust system to bring the number to four digits for the torque. The front end of the truck was even upgraded to make this truck offer this impressive number with a new grill that can go around the radiator to cool the engine that pushes out the power number that you can certainly admire when you hitch up a load.
An Improved Ram Engine
In order to accommodate the torque number, the Ram engine had to be upgraded with a stronger material. Ram uses a new compacted graphite iron which is more durable than conventional iron and it’s also thinner and lighter. This gives you a stronger engine and it does this without reducing the strength of the engine while also handling the noise and vibrations better. You’ll also find improved exhaust valves and upgraded rocker arms as well to give this engine a much stronger build.
