The Ford Bronco is Coming to a Dealership Near You

We know that Ford plans to bring us a new Bronco that could be made to rival the Jeep Wrangler for supremacy in the wilderness.

So far, we’ve seen some models of a strangely shaped testing vehicle on the roads that have the Ranger cab and an extremely short rear end. It’s likely that Ford will make some changes to the dimensions and appearance to give the new Bronco a style that’s more appealing, but it will probably keep the short wheelbase that allows the Bronco to move on the trails with ease and confidence.

Bringing Back the Bronco

The excitement that surrounded the return of the Ford Ranger will be nothing compared to when the Bronco returns to the market. The testing mule that appeared near the Ford headquarters in Dearborn, MI gave us the idea that the new model will be the Bronco with its size and dimensions. What we see from this tester is that it will have a width that’s similar to the Ranger while offering the benefits of a two-door SUV that can take to the wilderness and tackle the challenges presented for riding out on the trails where you want to go.

The Beginning of the Development from Ford

It’s pretty easy to understand that Ford would begin with the vehicle that the Bronco will be based on before developing the bodywork that’s needed to make this new SUV the right size and shape needed to be a great off-road SUV. The bodywork of this strange-looking Ford tester isn’t really the story of the day, the fact that this new vehicle will ride high and offer a great drive makes us know that this new model will be the perfect choice when looking for a vehicle that will be able to challenge the current leaders when it comes to off-road performance and quality.

This Ford Mule is DoingDouble Duty

Even though the Ranger has just returned for the 2019 model year, it’s likely this new testing mule is actually pulling double duty when it comes to research and development. The Ranger that we see on the market now is built on a platform that’s been used in other markets for a few years and the 2021 model year is when the Ranger is expected to be upgraded to a new platform. With that in mind, we could be seeing the underpinnings of a new Ranger and a new Bronco that we’re going to want to drive.

Get Ready for Some Serious Ford Fun

With both the Ranger and a new Bronco being offered for the drive we want to enjoy in the future, you should expect to see a lot of improvements. The Ranger will likely receive a range of powertrains and trim levels that will make it a truck that feels more like a Ford while the Bronco will have a package of amazing off-road items to give it the ability to head out into the wilderness to let you have the fun you’re looking for.
