It’s Time to Get the Ford Focus

It's Time to Get the Ford Focus

We’ve heard many times over that the Ford team won’t have some of the sedans and hatchbacks offered in the future. To that end, the first casualty of the car cull from Ford is already about to take place. Recent news allows us to know that there are only about 15,000 models of the 2018 Ford Focus left at dealerships around the country in order to give you the drive you’ve been after. If you want a small sedan or hatchback, now is the time to head to the Ford dealership to make a great deal on the Focus you want.

The Sales Trend is Nearly Over

If there are nearly 15,000 models of the Focus left on the market for sale, the question is how long will they last? If you project for sales and availability, the remaining models will likely last at little more than three months before they are completely gone. Through November, Ford sold 110,000 models of the Focus and in November there were only 4,481 of these cars sold. As the inventory dwindles, there’s a chance a few models may stick around longer, but the ability to find the Focus you want has an end date in sight.

The Future of the Ford Sedan Lineup

Because the Focus is near the end of its generational run, it was an easy choice to make it the first model that would be gone. Ford stopped building the Focus in May, leaving only the current dealer stock in the market to be sold through. Next year, the Taurus and Fiesta will meet their end in the US and will be available through 2019, but will also dwindle and eventually die. The Fusion was recently updated for 2019, which means the investment needs to be recouped and this model will live on for a couple more years.

Sales May Tell Another Tale

Sales of over 110,000 models of the Ford Focus certainly isn’t anything to sneeze at. Most automakers would accept this number, but it’s not what Ford needs and the Focus isn’t a high-profit car. Interestingly, the Ford Fiesta sales are actually up 11.3 percent through November, making it a popular model that shows promise, but alas, this car also has an end date in sight as Ford looks to move away from passenger cars and offer an SUV-heavy lineup.

What Does This Mean for You?

If you’ve been thinking about buying a Ford Focus, now could be the best time to do so. These cars are being offered at substantial discounts to make them even more affordable for you to drive. You need to take advantage of the inventory that’s remaining because it won’t be long until there are only a few models that you can choose from. Don’t miss out on this amazing event that could give you the small car you want to drive for the next few years. When the Focus models are all sold from your local Ford dealer, it will be gone and you will have missed your chance if you don’t act now.
