The biggest redesign for 1961 was the overall more agile appearance. The convex grille was raised to be in a straight line from the quad headlights and a new bumper was added that featured round parking lights.
1961 Eldorado Biarritz
If the Coupe de Ville became a little more staid, the Eldorado Biarritz of this era most certainly was not. It was hard to miss this car with its long body sporting jet-like tailfins on the rear. The rear of the car looked like something from science fiction with lights on the tailfins and bulged rear lights over the bumper. Even today, the used Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is one classic car that really stands out. It has an unmistakable appearance no matter what model year it comes from.
1965 Coupe de Ville
The mid-60s version of the Coupe de Ville was due to be even more simplified than the previous style. For 1965, the exterior was all-new with stacked quad headlights that stuck slightly out from a broad V-style grille. Parking lights were moved to the bumper and the hood was made a bit wider. The body of this Coupe de Ville was very straight and crisp with a horizontal front to rear upper section. The tailfins were almost completely removed, though the rear area did have a slight suggestion of fins, it was barely noticeable from the front and side.
1967 Fleetwood Eldorado
This late 60s Cadillac model was a completely different style for the luxury brand at the time. Its large, tailored appearance featured a long hood and a short deck. Concealed headlights gave it a uniform grille appearance, and blade-like fender extensions protruded slightly from the front sides. It also featured many chrome accents for a sleek, luxury appearance. Despite the very different style, this Cadillac still turned heads.
