10 Reason You’ll Love Driving the Ferrari F8 Tributo

A high-class, award-winning V8 engine awaits you in the Ferrari F8 Tributo. Is this the supercar that you want to drive? It should be.

For decades, Ferrari has used the same V8 engine configuration, which is an award-winning power plant. The name of the F8 Tributo is on the nose. It means Ferrari V8 Tribute which is the top expression of what this amazing brand brings to the market. We should certainly admire this car as one of the last non-assisted V8 engines from Ferrari or any other brand, but we’ve got ten other reasons you’ll want to drive this amazing car.

1. Ferrari racing heritage brings amazing aerodynamics

The front area of this car has the S-Duct layout, which is characteristic of Ferrari’s design and aerodynamics. The front features a 488 Challenge-derived radiator that reduces drag along with aerodynamic side intakes integrated into the bumper. The flat underbody includes front diffusers to increase aero and brake cooling efficiency. The rear has an inclined blown spoiler with up-washing suction for increased vertical load, rear flux deflectors under the spoiler, and rear diffusers to improve performance.

2. Controls at your fingertips

The Ferrari F8 Tributo provides a comfortable seated position to make high-speed driving more comfortable. The steering wheel features several controls to make it easy to hit the different functions of this incredible car. This steering wheel features a flat-bottom shape and has a set of integrated paddle shifters. This wheel also features controls, including turn signals, high-beam headlights, wipers, windshield washers, call manager, and the start/stop button. There’s also a Manettino dial which is a switch that allows easy chassis control options, making it easy for you to switch between driving functions.

3. The V8 engine brings serious racing inspiration

The V8 engine is the attention-grabber of the F8 Tributo. This power plant brings technology and hardware from many successful engines from motorsport and Formula One driving. This amazing engine offers desired performance and driving excellent to eliminate turbo lag while using the same turbochargers found in the 488 Challenge car. No matter how you slice it, this amazing engine is the heart and soul of this incredible Ferrari supercar, delivering an amazing level of driving power and performance.

4. The Hot Tube Resonator keeps things exciting

The exhaust system fitted to the Ferrari F8 Tributo improves gas flow, but it dulls the sounds desired to ensure an incredible driving experience on the road or track. Ferrari fixed this problem with a Hot Tube Resonator, which is a tube running from the turbochargers through the C-pillar to the area behind the drivers. This ensures there’s a more natural sound in the cabin, which makes for a more engaging and exciting driving experience in this Ferrari supercar.

5. Impressive Ferrari advanced electronic controls

All the power in the world does nothing for you if it’s not harnessed and controlled effectively. The Ferrari F8 Tributo includes amazing handling courtesy of its advanced electronic vehicle controls. These items include the Ferrari Side Slip Control 6.1 and the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer, which both give this car the adjustments and controls necessary to rip off some seriously fast laps. The Manettino dial allows drivers to adjust the torque vectoring and stability control system by toggling through CT Off and Race settings to give this car the desired performance level.

6. The best engine is also the most powerful Ferrari V8 in twenty years

Power for this incredible Ferrari supercar comes from a 3.9-liter bi-turbo V8 engine that first appeared in the 488 Pista. This engine pumps out 710 horsepower and 568 lb-t o torque, making it the most powerful V8 ever put in a non-special Ferrari series car. The power allows the F8 Tributo to hit 60 mph in 2.9 seconds on the way to a 211 mph top speed.

7. The Variable Boost Management System is pretty cool

The zero turbo log concept is achieved through the Variable Boost Management System. This system was first included in the 488 GTB and 488 Pista to give these cars the software to gradually adjust the torque delivery to fit the selected gear. This system also allows the Ferrari F8 Tributo to use the longer gear ratios and higher gears, which keeps emissions low and fuel mileage high, but it also allows the car to use a steeper torque curve to ensure a smooth and powerful pick-up when accelerating.

8. Standard tech allows a great style in the cabin

Racing machines are often made with very little in the driver’s view to keep distractions to a minimum on the track. This allows for an amazing minimalistic look to the dashboard. This classy look ensures the car can have a great-looking area with soft leather and carbon fiber to give this beautiful car the Ferrari build. Ferrari included the benefits of Human Machine Interface, which is a tech feature with some amazing qualities to make the drive better.

9. The F8 Tributo is light

The 488 GTB was one of the most incredible machines to come from the Ferrari plant, but the F8 Tributo is lighter and faster. The goal was to make this car more agile and better on the track. This meant reducing the weight to make better use of the overall performance of the F8 Tributo. This newer sports car weighs 66 pounds less than the previous 488 GTB model. The weight is further reduced by adding the optional 488 Pista-style carbon fiber wheels that reduce weight by an additional 22 pounds.

10. This supercar was designed in-house

The F8 Tributo was designed entirely in-house at the Ferrari Styling Center. The design team came up with an incredible car that could serve as inspiration for some future models. There were two goals for this car. First was to offer style that was truly a tribute to the amazing Ferrari V8 engine, and the other was to advance the sporty design with incredibly advanced aerodynamics.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is one of the most incredible new Ferrari models, and it’s a car that everyone wants to drive, but only a few can. If you get the chance, we think you should get behind the wheel and enjoy the performance and fun offered by this amazing Ferrari supercar.
