Your Costco membership could pay off. Members can receive discounts on 2023 and 2024 Audi vehicles, adding another way membership has its privileges.
Costco is one of the most popular big-box discount membership stores with bulk items that are perfect for any family. Over the past couple of years, Costco has transitioned to smaller portions, furniture, housewares, electronics, and family dinners. Now, this bulk retailer offers discounts that can be applied when you visit an Audi dealership and lease or purchase some models. Many consumers already pay the annual fee for a membership, so why not use it to receive a price break on an Audi?
What’s the value of this discount?
Every electric vehicle qualifies for some version of this discount. Although Costco has no plans to install charging stations adjacent to its gasoline pumps, this discount shows commitment to the future of electric driving and a new partnership with Audi.
The largest discount is $5,000, which applies to the E-Tron GT and RS E-Tron GT, which are the sporty sedans found in the Audi EV lineup. The RS model is one of the fastest-charging electric vehicles in the entire market, capable of charging at an 800-volt charging station.
The Costco discount for Audi EVs is also available for the Q4 E-Tron and Q8 E-Tron. Both of these vehicles receive a $1,500 discount when the Costco membership car is applied at the dealership. This discount applies to both the standard and Sportback models of these EVs. The Q4 E-Tron uses the same MEB platform as the Volkswagen ID.4, while the larger Q8 E-Tron is the new all-electric version of the top SUV in the Audi family.
Does Costco offer other discounts for Audi vehicles?
The all-electric Audi models aren’t the only vehicles eligible for a Costco membership discount. The Audi Q5 TFSI e, which is a plug-in hybrid version of the Q5, is eligible for a $1,000 price cut when the Costco membership card is applied to the sale. This PHEV brings a 23-mile electric driving range and 26 mpg combined once the electric batteries are drained.
These new discounts show a true commitment to supporting the movement toward electric vehicles. We could see more brands partner with Costco, BJs, or Sam’s Club to offer discounts to members carrying cards for these bulk retailers. Audi isn’t the only brand offered with Costco discounts; some Volvo models receive a $2,500 discount, making the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge a little more affordable.
What is the Audi Q8 E-Tron?
The top dog in the Audi electric SUV lineup is the Q8 E-Tron. This new electric SUV comes in four trims with two body styles, which means there are eight different versions of this SUV. The maximum driving range is 300 miles in the Sportback body style, with the traditional version achieving 285 miles of driving.
The new Q8 E-Tron includes two electric motors that combine for 355 horsepower and 414 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a Dynamic mode that increases the output to 402 horsepower and 490 lb-t of torque for about 10 to 12 seconds. The two electric motors send power to all four wheels, ensuring this Audi enjoys the benefits of Quattro AWD.

Every Audi brings a special interior to the mix. Audi stays ahead of the competition in most cases, which shows up in the new Q8 E-Tron, which is filled with luxury, comfort, quality, and smart technology to go with a styling design. The center console features two screens, the upper for the infotainment system and the lower for a 4-zone climate control system.
Rear passengers enjoy comfortable seating with 39 inches of rear legroom, which is 1.1 inches more than the traditional Q8 SUV. Turning to the cargo area, the traditional SUV body offers 28.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 56.4 cubic feet when these seats are folded. The Sportback body style cuts this cargo space slightly, returning 27.2 and 54.4 cubic feet, respectively.
