Chevy Blazer EV: Redefining Speed and Comfort for 2024

Chevy Blazer EV: Redefining Speed and Comfort for 2024

The latest version of the Chevy Blazer is an EV that arrives at dealerships as part of the 2024 model year. Could this be the Blazer you want to drive?

The latest addition to the electrified lineup of Chevrolet EVs is the Blazer. This new version provides a sustainable future for the model but is also much more exciting, actually providing acceleration that makes it seem like it’s blazing fast and ready to ride. This new model has the Camaro’s good looks, midsize SUV spaciousness, and ample driving range, and it’s the first Chevy EV that wears the legendary SS badging.

Here are a few things you should know about the new Blazer EV.

The GM Ultium architecture underpins the Blazer

The innovative Ultium platform gives the new Blazer EV a leg up on most of the other electrified SUVs in the market. This modular design system will be utilized for several vehicles, from small to large SUVs. This new Blazer could have up to 400 miles of driving range when fully charged and rocket to 60 mph from a standstill in as little as three seconds. The platform is configurable for both RWD and AWD versions, making it easy to fall in love with this new Chevy EV.

The design has a purpose

The new Chevy Blazer EV has incredible aerodynamic characteristics and isn’t just a pretty face. This sleek SUV looks great but also maximizes efficiency with a great package that cuts through the wind with ease. In addition to the sleek design and impressive style, this SUV rides on large wheels, ranging from 19 to 22 inches in size, to make this SUV sporty and fun. Toss in the set of Brembo brakes, and you’ve got an impressive and potent package.

Good power and acceptable driving range

Unfortunately, only one Blazer EV offers more than 300 miles of driving range, that model being the RS with the larger battery pack that delivers up to 320 miles of driving distance on a single charge. Most trims have less than 300 miles of range, but some make up for this with impressive power. The new SS model is the most powerful version of the Blazer EV, delivering 557 horsepower and 648 lb-ft of torque. Thankfully, that power still comes with 290 miles of driving range.

The Blazer is extremely competitive

In a world with the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Kia EV6, and Tesla Model Y, the Blazer EV is in a serious fight for supremacy. This amazing Chevy electric SUV has four trims and three drivetrains to make this SUV one of the top choices with lots of options. The Chevy Blazer EV comes with a full range of safety tech to keep drivers happy on the road. These safety features make hands-free driving with Super Cruise a possibility in this electric SUV.

Hit that Wide-Open-Watts button

The Wide-Open-Watts, or WOW feature is made to enable high-performance sprint quickness in the Blazer EV that accelerates to 60 mph in less than four seconds. This is impressive for an electric SUV of its size, delivering an incredible feeling out on any road. The WOW feature is similar to the Watts-To-Freedom feature of the Hummer EV, but WOW sounds much better when you’re talking about a launch control system that can rocket an electric SUV to high speeds in a hurry.

The cabin continues the amazing sporty feeling of the Blazer

This new electric Chevy SUV has more going for it than a sporty exterior with amazing lines and curves that make it fun and active. The interior features several great color variations and features that come from the Camaro, including the turbine air vents and attractive colors. You’ll find ample legroom in both rows of seats, a large 17.7-inch infotainment screen, and a large 11-inch driver information screen for the gauges. You’re sure to love the style and color combinations offered in the Blazer EV.

The Blazer is good enough to be a police vehicle

The debut of the new Chevy Blazer EV SS trim is unique because this model is also being developed as a police vehicle. If this electric SUV can be good enough to be a Police Pursuit Vehicle, it can easily be one of the most interesting and impressive SUVs offered when it hits the road. The RWD SS model is the most powerful version, but it is only available for the police fleet right now. Soon, it will be offered to the public as well.

Will the new Chevy Blazer EV become the impressive new electric SUV that finds its way to your driveway?
