Kia Sportage PHEV Presents Two Well-Equipped AWD Models
Kia America has announced new pricing for the refreshed Kia Sportage PHEV models. It features a refined exterior combined with cutting-edge interior tech. Buyers have a choice between two well-equipped AWD models. The Sportage PHEV X-Line AWD will start at $40,490, and the Sportage PHEV X-Line Prestige AWD will start at $47,190.
The ultramodern cabin of the X-Line Prestige features a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a heads-up display is available. Multiple USB-C ports can be found throughout the cabin. Available leather trim and ambient lighting create a premium interior experience packed with tech and comfort.
The Connected Car Navigation Cockpit includes over-the-air updates, plus standard wireless Apple/Android integration. The Digital Key 2.0 gives you keyless entry and allows you to share the key virtually with friends and family.
More New and Available Features
Kia has ensured that the new Sportage PHEV is packed with the latest digital features and services. An available 10-inch heads-up display projects various driver assistance systems, vehicle information, and directions for the navigation system. Meanwhile, Kia Connect elevates your digital experience with streaming music and personal device connectivity.
Kia Connect allows buyers to customize their cars with personalized features like adding a favorite NBA team to the infotainment theme. More features can also be added through OTA updates. Several advanced driver assistance systems are standard and available on the Kia Sportage PHEV.
Some of these systems include forward-collision avoidance, forward and reverse parking distance warning, hands-on detection, automatic emergency braking, and highway driving assist. These advanced systems provide further peace of mind while driving, but Kia cautions that they aren’t a substitute for being alert and awake while driving.
Powertrain Upgrades for the Kia Sportage PHEV
The Kia Sportage PHEV now comes with a 1.6-liter turbo gas engine and an electric motor. A six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters sends power to the wheels. The AWD system includes Multi-Terrain Mode as well. Compared to previous models, the horsepower is up by 7 for a total of 268. Kia estimates 34 miles of all-electric range and 2,000 pounds of towing capacity.
The turbo PHEV setup is new for this year, with an improvement in horsepower and kW output for the electric motor. Another new feature is Stop Assist Control. This makes the vehicle capable of a full stop while holding the left paddle shifter. Active regenerative braking is automatic based on road conditions and navigation.
Kia Connect subscriptions are available free with certain lease deals of the new 2026 Kia Sportage PHEV. After the three-year complimentary subscription expires, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid account to continue enjoying Kia Connect features.
