If you’re a fan of the Amazon Prime series, The Grand Tour, you may have heard the reports from The Daily Mail that stated the show would be canceled after its third season. This report certainly has fans up at arms and has only a minuscule amount of truth to it at all. The Grand Tour team is currently filming the third season of the show, which will air later this year, and they are planning to continue to offer us the entertainment we want to enjoy in cars for several more seasons.

Whether you love the cars they show, the antics they get into, or the fact that Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond are the automotive equivalent to the Three Stooges, there’s a lot of fun to be had when you watch The Grand Tour. There’s always a story, always someone getting into a sticky situation, and a lot of irreverent humor while we take a look at some impressive cars this trio has to show us and give us a review of when they take the stage for an hour every week on Friday nights on Amazon Prime.

The Rumors and the Reports

The trio of Brits that love to entertain us with the cars they drive and the fun they have started out several years ago with Top Gear on BBC, which continues to air with new hosts to this day. As automotive journalists and excellent television personalities, they were the perfect trio to build a show about cars around. Amazon Prime has shown The Grand Tour for two highly successful seasons so far with a third being created currently. The rumors and premature reports have to do with what may take place after the third season has completed filming.

Why are there rumors from The Daily Mail of a cancellation of The Grand Tour? As of right now, Amazon Prime hasn’t renewed the contracts for a fourth season of the show, which leaves some of the team on the show wondering what may happen after season three is done filming. Additionally, Jeremy Clarkson has taken a job as a host of ITV’s Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Put these things together and maybe Amazon Prime isn’t going to renew the show for a fourth season and beyond and will move on from this bumbling trio of car enthusiasts.

Clarkson himself has stated the reports are inaccurate and the job with ITV is only a brief one with only a week of filming. This won’t take him away from The Grand Tour obligations he has at all and will allow him the ability to have the focus where it needs to be. If you’re a fan of Clarkson, May, and Hammond, you can rest easy knowing the team is confident the show will be back for a fourth season and beyond to continually entertain us with the cars they drive and the antics they love to show us on the screen.
