When you need more clearance above the ground, the Subaru Outback Wilderness is the right choice for you. As this model becomes available for the 2022 model year, you\u2019ll see it has 9.5 inches of ground clearance to make it easy for you to travel over most obstacles<\/a><\/strong> in your path. This new version also rides on a set of Yokohama Geolander tires that are wrapped around new all-black 17-inch wheels.<\/p>\n

Plenty of Power for Your Time on the Trails<\/h2>\n

This new version of the Subaru Outback is powered by an impressive engine. You\u2019ll find a 2.4-liter turbocharged flat four-cylinder engine under the hood which makes 260 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is mated to a CVT to give you the efficiency you want and the capability you need. The final drive ratio has been tuned to give you better low-end torque than the previous version of the Outback.<\/p>\n

As expected, the Wilderness trim comes with X-Mode AWD which is part of the standard packaging for most of the Subaru lineup. This system has been reworked to be better for you when you take this SUV out on the trails<\/a><\/strong>. Now, it can automatically switch from low-speed driving to speeds over 25 mph without any disruption in the power delivery, which makes for smooth driving when you\u2019re behind the wheel.<\/p>\n

The Subaru Outback Wilderness Offers Impressive Style<\/h2>\n

You can easily distinguish the Wilderness model from the rest of the Outback lineup. This SUV comes with a Blue Geyser paint job and black graphics to give it the differentiation you want to see. An all-black bumper looks rugged and ready for off-road duties. The front fog lights are hexagonal in shape, which gives the front a unique style.<\/p>\n

Moving to the rear, you\u2019ll see an all-black bumper and a set of pronounced wheel arches that have the added benefits of rugged trim to give the protection desired. A ladder-type roof rail has been added to this SUV to support a roof tend and give you a spot that can be where you spend the night when on the trails. These rails can hold up to 700pounds to give you the perfect camping spot.<\/p>\n
