Ford vehicles, such as the Ford Expedition<\/strong><\/a>, will be able to tell when they are driving in a Hands-free Blue Zone. How do they do this? BlueCruise3 uses blue lighting on the digital instrument cluster to indicate when the car is in one of these areas.<\/p>\n

How does BlueCruise3 keep passengers safe?<\/h3>\n

While using this hands-free technology, it is most important to take into account the safety of the driver and the passengers. That is why there is a front-facing camera in front of the driver that can tell if the driver is paying attention to the road or not. This camera is able to tell if the driver is actively looking at the road or not. If the driver is failing to be attentive to the road, the system will alert the driver that he or she needs to focus on the road. If the driver fails to do this, the system will automatically slow down to idle speed, ensuring the driver is paying attention to the road at all times.<\/p>\n
