The total amount of money being awarded for 2022 is $15 million, which brings this organization\u2019s lifetime donation total to $200 million.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hyundai Hope On Wheels will present 75 different grants to organizations across the country that are focused on helping to improve the treatments and outcomes for children diagnosed with cancer. The grants will go to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 Hyundai Scholar Hope Grants: $300,000 each<\/li>\n<li>25 Hyundai Young Investigator Grants: $200,000 each<\/li>\n<li>25 Hyundai Impact Grants: $100,000 each<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Hyundai Scholar Hop and Young Investigator grants go to eligible Children\u2019s Oncology Group (COG) member institutions. Applications in this competitive peer-reviewed process are reviewed by the Hyundai Hope On Wheels Medical Advisory Committee. This committee is made up of leading pediatric oncologists from children\u2019s hospitals and research institutions across the nation. The grants help fund children\u2019s hospitals for childhood cancer research processes or program initiatives like clinical care.<\/p>\n<p>Since Hyundai Hope On Wheels started in 1998, it has awarded over 1,100 research grants with the aim to help save lives. The critical research these grants fund is part of the longest-running corporate social responsibility efforts in the automotive industry. Hyundai Hope On Wheels is the leading funder of pediatric cancer research in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Director of Hyundai Hope On Wheels, John Guastaferro, recently said \u201cWe are honored to present this year\u2019s grant winners with funds to perform their lifesaving work and continue to bring hope to the brave pediatric cancer fighters and their families across the nation. This year\u2019s theme is \u2018Powered by Hope,\u2019 paying homage to the children battling cancer who inspire our organization\u2019s mission and to the doctors and researchers dedicated to finding a cure for the disease. Congratulations to this year\u2019s grant award winners, and we thank you for sharing in the commitment to ensure that every child battling cancer has a fighting chance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The grants will be presented later this year during a Hyundai Hope on Wheels Handprint Ceremony. This signature event allows children impacted by cancer to dip their hands in paint and place their handprints on a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irwinhyundai.com\/hyundai-extended-warranty.html\">Hyundai<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/dealerindepth.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/03\/say-hello-to-the-hyundai-n-vision-74\/\">vehicle<\/a><\/strong>.
