Are you happy that it’s October? Do you celebrate Halloween all month long? You’re the right candidate for some of the best Halloween costumes for your car.

Many churches and youth organizations have replaced the tradition of trick-or-treating with trunk-or-treat events. These events allow kids to go car to car in the parking lot collecting candy. You don’t want to show up to one of these events with a plain and undecorated car. Use one of these amazing car costume ideas and let your vehicle be part of the fun of this amazing event.

Turn Your White Car or SUV into the Ghostbuster’s Car

It would be even better if you won a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance/hearse or another large station wagon, but there aren’t many of these on the road today. Be a bit creative and let your white car or SUV turn into this vehicle with some lights, a proton pack, and the Ghostbusters logo. Kids and adults will love the creative way you’ve changed your vehicle to be the car they call when the ghosts arrive, which they will do during Halloween night.

Create a Droid from Star Wars

Several of the droids in the Star Wars series have simple designs that can be easily recognized. The cool part of this Halloween costume for your car is that your car’s color plays a part in the droid you create. If you have a white car, the BB-8 droid could be ideal. When you have a silver or blue vehicle, you can turn that vehicle into an R2-D2. Finish off the Star Wars theme with a costume from the movies that you’ll wear during your trunk-or-treat experience.

A Reindeer Costume Can be Worn Through Christmas

This one is pretty simple, but kids and adults will love it. All you need is some wire hangers and some materials to make fake antlers and a large red nose for your car. Of course, putting a nose on the front turns your car into Rudolph, but what car doesn’t want to be the most famous reindeer of them all? This costume can be great for Halloween, especially if you drive a small and cute car, and your car can wear it from now until Christmas.

Turn Your Car into a Spider

Do you drive a small black car? Ok, it doesn’t have to be small, and black or red could work when you want to turn your car into a spider. The best way to do this is when the car is parked at the trunk-or-treat event. Grab some pool noodles and create the legs. Add some construction paper or vinyl fangs to the front, and you’ve got a spider that everyone will be afraid to approach. This is one of the best Halloween costumes for cars, and it’s pretty easy to create.

Could Your Car be a Rally Racer

Part of the fun of Halloween is pretending to be something we’ve always wanted to be. The same could be true for your car. Even if you drive a regular compact sedan, you can turn it into a Rally racer with a few stickers, stripes, decals, and a large wing on the back. Get creative and help your car live out its fantasies, even if it’s only for the Halloween night festivities.

The Jurassic Park Jeep is a Classic Look

It helps if you already own the Jeep that wears the Jurassic Park badge, but you can improvise. The Jeeps used during the movie along the tour path were painted in tan and red with red wheels. Create a look that’s as close as you can get without ruining your car. You might simply add the logo to the doors, giving your Jeep the special look of one of the best Halloween costumes for cars that you can find.

Create a Time Machine Out of Your Silver Car

You probably don’t own a DeLorean DMC-12, but you can still turn your silver car into a time machine from Back to the Future. This means opening your doors to let the trunk-or-treat crowd see the interior you’ve created with the time circuits and flux capacitor. Open the rear and show off the engine area from one of the movies with the Mr. Fusion system that turns garbage into fuel for the car. There are several ways to have fun creating a time machine out of any silver-colored car.

Let Your Car be a Bloody Mess

Without damaging your ride, your car can look like it was the reason several people are now nothing more than bloody corpses. Use either a vinyl wrap or some temporary, washable, red car soap paint to create the look of a car that’s been covered in blood. Add some fake fangs to the lower grille to look like your car ate some people. This could be one of the scariest Halloween costumes for cars that you can show off and enjoy during fright night.

Turn Your Into a Haunted House

This can be done on the outside and/or inside of the vehicle. If you’ve got at least one other person that wants to have some fun, let them be inside the car and jump out at people as they come to see what’s going on. The darkness and sudden fright turn your car into a haunted house. On the outside, add some scary elements that make your car stand out. This is a great way to have some fun during the trunk-or-treat and let your car enjoy the fun of Halloween.

Turn Your Orange Car into a Jack-O-Lantern

To have a great look, you do need an orange car to pull off the Jack-o-Lantern appearance. If you want to do this but don’t have an orange car, it could take some cardboard and a lot of construction paper to pull off the look you want. Turn the front into the face and let your car show off as one of the spooky parts of Halloween. This might be one of the best Halloween costumes for cars, but it works best with orange vehicles.

Will you use one of these Halloween costumes for cars to dress your car up for the night of fright and terror? Get into the spirit and enjoy the fun of the trunk-or-treat event with a great-looking car.
