Car enthusiasts everywhere are going to want to buy a Nissan because we’re going to see the return of the GT-R sportscar and T-Spec trim. This sweet ride has been essentially the same for its 16-year run. When something works, there’s no need to change it. Nissan decided it was time for a little refresh, even if no one had anything negative to say about previous models. If you’re in the market for something flashy and fun, the newest version of the GT-R is certain to do the trick.

Welcome Back T-Spec

The T-Spec Trim is back for 2024 and is better than ever. You’ll find this model in two available colors: Millennium Jade and Midnight purpose. Neither of these paint jobs is found on any other Nissan vehicles. It also comes with a wider front fender and unique T-Spec badging inside and out.

The GT-R T-Spec borrows a few elements from the Nissan Nismo, like carbon-ceramic brakes, dynamic vehicle control, and 20-inch gold-painted wheels.

Enhanced Nismo

The top-of-the-line Nismo model is also getting some updates. For starters, it gets a 10% larger rear wing, wider tires, six-piston front brake calipers, four-piston rear calipers, and a ton of other awesome features.

There is also a fresh Nismo Appearance Package that comes with exclusive red-accented 20-inch RAYS wheels, a carbon-fiber hood, and a unique-to-trim cove design.

More Updates

Nissan engineers have been hard at work creating the perfect sportscar. They redesigned the front and rear fascias to improve aerodynamics. You’ll also notice a thinner mesh front grille that will improve cooling and reduce drag. This beast will reach higher speeds than ever before without increasing its grad coefficient, which is a pretty amazing feat.

The GT-R also adds a front limited-slip differential to improve handling and stability. It still uses the 3.8-liter V6 engine. The Premium and T-Spec engines produce 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. The Nismo trim gets a little more with 600 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque.

The GT-R utilizes an impressive ATTESA ET-S all-wheel-drive system. This setup allows you to vary your front-torque split depending on your preference and driving scenario. There have been no changes to the rear-mounted six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Buy a Nissan Today

While the newest version of the GT-R won’t be available until the spring (or summer if you want the Nismo), your local Nissan dealer can help you pre-order or reserve yours. Nissan hasn’t released the pricing yet, but the current Premium model starts at $115,435, and the Nismo starts at $212,635. The T-Spec should fall somewhere in-between these two models.

Nissan just released the highly-anticipated 2024 GT-R at the Toyota Auto Salon.
