We know about some of the different companies that are active in the Chinese market; Zotye Automobile is a Chinese company coming to the US.
Buick has been a huge hit in China, but nearly every brand of vehicle has a presence in the largest market in the world. Normally, we don’t expect to have companies from China making their way to the US to sell vehicles, but it appears that will happen in the future. This new entry into the market will arrive soon and be part of what we will see for the future.
A Ford Partner Comes to America
The company that will make its way to the US to begin to sell vehicles will be Zotye Automobile, which is a partner of the Ford Motor Company in China. Recently the plans were solidified to allow this company to begin to sell SUVs in the US. The company is already in the process of setting up a sales and distribution arm in Lake Forest, CA with plans to sell vehicles in the US through franchise dealers to allow a growth in the market for the type of vehicles that we desire.
it’sNot a Ford Plan, but a Partnership
Ford is not involved in the plans to bring the Chinese automaker to the US, but they have asked Zotye to offer a set of SUVs that are in a part of the market that Ford isn’t currently involved in. The vehicles that Ford has asked to provide to the market are the lower-priced electric vehicles in China, which may be what they eventually bring to the US as well. Right now, there’s no plan for this to take place, but it could be what we see in the future.
A Pair of Models to start with
Zotye USA is owned by HAAH Automotive Holdings which has stated they will bring two models to get started in the US market. These two models will be the Zotye T600 and T700 which are both crossover models that we can enjoy driving in the future. We will learn more as we get closer to the date when these vehicles will make their way on the market and be ready for us to enjoy the drive in an EV.
