Porsche 911 GT3 –The Car We’ve All Been Looking For

Porsche 911 GT3 –The Car We’ve All Been Looking For

A new generation of the Porsche 911 began just two years ago and we now have the GT3 model for the 2022 model year.

This new version of the iconic sports car is the version of the 992-generation that we’ve wanted to see offered. We had to wait through the Carreras, cabrios, Turbos, and Targas to get to this point, but now, we have a hardcore version of the 911 that will give us the driving glory we desire.

The Only Naturally Aspirated 911

The rest of the Porsche 911 models offer turbocharging as part of the engine setup, but not the GT3 model. This new version gives us the same feeling we got when the first GT3 arrived in 1999. We will have a 4.0-liter flat six-cylinder engine in the rear of the car which pumps out 503 horsepower.

This number is an increase of ten over the 991.2 model to give you more of the power you’re looking for when you drive.  The torque level of the GT3 is up as well to give you 347 lb.-ft. when you’re on the road or track. The engine can rev to 9,000 rpm and allow the sporty performance you’re looking for when you take a drive. This truly is the 911 we’ve been waiting for.

Attaching a Transmission to the Porsche 911 GT3

There are two transmission options for this Porsche. You can have a seven-speed PDK automatic or a six-speed manual. The PDK gives you excellent performance with a time to reach sixty mph of 3.4 seconds and more than 100 mph in only 10.8 seconds. The automatic can give you a top speed of 197.5 mph while the manual will allow you to reach 199 mph if you desire. One item of note, this car finished a lap of Nürburgring in 6:59.927, which is blistering quick.

Design Elements You’ll Notice in the GT3

The Porsche 911 GT3 features a deep front bumper with a large central opening. You’ll have a staggered wheel setup with 20-inch wheels in the front and 21-inch wheels in the rear. A kicked-up rear lip runs above the rear lights and you’ll see a large swan-neck spoiler above the rear to give this car the sporty features and style that you want to see for your drive.

The Suspension Has Been Upgraded

Similar to the 911 RSR, the new GT3 features a double-wishbone front suspension which gives this car the agility you want when you’re carving up the turns. The rear suspension is a five-link version with additional ball joints and special shocks. The standard rear-wheel steering helps you have the ride you want and the directional drive that you’re looking for when you head out on the track.

If you’re looking for the most hardcore performance version of the Porsche 911, you’ll be pleased to see the GT3 model. This car is ready to offer you the fun, acceleration, and excitement you’ve been searching for since the new generation of this iconic car began.
